Obituary for Charles Lawrence “Chuck” Celaric Charles Lawrence “Chuck” Celaric, 68, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away at home on December 18, 2018. He was a Christian, a father, a husband, a brother, a friend, and a nephew. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Louise Celaric; his father, Carl Albert Celaric, and his aunt, Christine Musick.

He is survived by two daughters, Emily Jeanne (James) Kowal and Amanda Leigh Celaric and her fiancé Barry Oglesby, as well as his mother, Marjorie Celaric. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Karyn) Celaric and his niece Emma Celaric, as well as a sister, Karen Celaric. He leaves behind Russell Tennyson, his dearest friend since childhood.

Born on August 14, 1950, in Waukegan, Illinois, Chuck grew up with a wicked sense of humor and a love of animals, astronomy, and the cosmos. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant with Security Police as a Military Working Dog Handler.

After completing his military service and traveling around the United States for several years, Chuck worked at the Waukegan Developmental Center where he met his wife, Jeanne. Chuck then began his decades-long career at Illinois Bell as an installer then repairman before retiring from AT&T. Chuck’s wonderful sense of humor and his wisdom will be missed by his family and friends.

His memorial will be at Peterson and Patch Memorial Home, 408 North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, IL 60085 on January 12, 2019.
