CHARLES RAYMOND BATES, age 86 of the Union Grove Community in Jemison, passed away suddenly on November 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on May 23, 1932; the son of the late Orden Columbus Bates and Naomi Campbell Bates. He was a former automobile mechanic.

He is survived by: Son, Michael Bates of Jemison; Daughter, Debbie (Randall) Kendrick of Jemison; Daughter, Pat (Tony) Reeves of Jemison; 6 Grandchildren; and 12 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Hazel Bates. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev.

J. Aaron Ellison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mt.
