Obituary for Charles W. Cook Charles W. “Charlie” Cook died peacefully on April 16, 2018 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 84. Charlie is survived by his wife, Jacque; children, Tony Cook, Tracy Hughes and step-son Brant Megason; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, David Cook and Derrell Cook. He is preceded in death by parents, Johnnie and Anna Lee Cook; first wife, Juanita Cook; and grandson, James Cook.

Charlie was born on August 14, 1933 in Ranger, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the El Paso Fire Department as a Lieutenant. Charlie was an accomplished singer and guitar player in his local band, Charlie Cook and the Country Cavaliers.

He was a talented individual who loved Country and Bluegrass music. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Restoration Fellowship, 10200 Album, El Paso, Texas, with graveside at Ft. Bliss at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018.

The services will be officiated by Gary Wilcox. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kemarah’s Chasing Rainbows at 3005 Kilkenny Rd.
