Obituary for Charles Walter Pierson Charles Walter Pierson, 81, of Divernon, IL died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home. He was born June 15, 1937 in Virden, IL to Fred and Velda (Dickson) Pierson. Charles married Idalene Rigney, June 18, 1959 in St. Charles, MO.

Charles was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for the Virden Elevator and farmed with P.T. Cody. He loved all the children and camping with the family. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Doris, Shirley, Arlene, and Joanne, brothers; Fred and Harold.

He is survived by his wife, Idalene, sister, Darlene “D” Edge, nephews; J.R., Jerry and Trevor Casper, Harold Pierson Jr., goddaughters; Denise Hammer and Darcy Weatherly, and several nieces and nephews. A Military Honors Memorial Service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2pm. Memorials may go to Memorial Home Hospice.
