Charles “Charlie” Wayne Lightfeather, Sr., “Asin-inini” which means “Rock Man”, age 34, of Duluth, Minnesota began his spiritual journey on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was born on October 6, 1983 in Duluth, MN to Bernice Lightfeather and Gregory Johnson. Charlie enjoyed and grew up on the pow-wow trail.

He loved to travel. Charlie would buck trains to get to where he was going. He loved spending time with his family, friends and pow-wow bros and sisters.

Charlie always kept a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor. Charlie will be welcomed home by his mother Bernice Lightfeather and other loved ones who have passed on. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Lightfeather, Charles Jr., Carter Lightfeather, Karen Jourdain, Raine “Waase” Jourdain, Jayden Lightfeather-Jourdain, Jamie Johnson, Mythias and Truce Lightfeather, Malita Spears, Charlize, Kahlil, Nibi Lightfeather-Spears, brothers; Terry Sr., Terrance, Nodin, Devin Lightfeather, Lance and Brandon Johnson, sisters; Teresa, Crystal, Brandee Lightfeather, Robin and Nagani Johnson, numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and his pow-wow bros and sisters.

The wake for Charlie will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9th and continue until his traditional service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11th all being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. Zac Earley and Eunice Lightfeather will be his Spiritual Advisors. Pallbearers for Charlie will be Terry Lightfeather, Sr., Terrance Lightfeather, Nodin Lightfeather, James Lightfeather, Randall White, Sr., Jeremy Wilson, Pete Garbow and Don Kingbird.

Alternate pallbearers are Devin Lightfeather, Lance Johnson and Brandon Johnson. His honorary pallbearers are Heidi Goodwind, Lynzie Lightfeather, Bill May, Jr., Lucille Auginash, Thomas Lightfeather, the Little Otter Singers and the Lake Vermillion Singers. Charlie will be laid to rest in the Family Burial Grounds in O’bashing, MN following his services.
