Charles Richard Woessner, age 61, was born November 16, 1956 in Fergus Falls, son of Richard and Ruth (Olson) Woessner. He died May 3, 2018 at his home. He was baptized and confirmed at the West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church.

Charlie graduated from Elbow Lake High School, attended North Dakota State University for three years, and decided farming to be his career. He farmed until 2005, when he retired due to illness. He was active in band and wrestling in high school.

Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies Tom and Paul, and his Dad. A kind and private person, he loved his family and children in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his parents, Richard and Ruth Woessner of Elbow Lake; sisters, Kathleen Bennett of Henderson, NV and Nancy (Ted) Christianson of Fargo, ND; nieces, Ruth (Serita Mattei) Christianson of New York, NY, Hannah (Jeff Woods) Christianson of Jemez Springs, NM; nephews, Grant, Mack, and Hunter of Fargo, ND; aunts, Gloria Wade, Betty Hatling, Phyllis Hickman, and Dorraine Woessner; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Albert and Olga Woessner, Henry and Rosella Olson; uncles, Harlan Wade, Noble Hatling, Harold Woessner, Donovan and Rosalie Olson, Harvey Olson, John Hickman, and Duke. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
