Obituary of Charles Cecil Witt Charles C. Witt, 84, of Woodville passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019. Born July 13, 1934 in Woodville, Tx to the late Cecil Witt and Jewel Phillips Witt, he lived in Woodville most of his life. He worked for BF Goodrich for nineteen years until 1977 when he started his own contracting company.

Charles was a man of many trades. He owned and operated a meat and fish market, repaired boats but will be remembered most by owning and operating Childress Monuments where he helped many families in Tyler County. A proud member and Deacon of Camp Ground Baptist Church and a member of Silsbee Masonic Lodge #927, he loved and adored his family with all his heart.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, his darling, Barbara Witt. He is survived by his loving family, children, Chuck Witt of Silsbee, Cindy Pratt and husband, Max of Woodville and Curt Witt of Woodville; grandchildren, Joy Witt, Jean Witt, Michele Georgas and husband, Rob, Phillip Thompson, Jenna Stephens and husband, Sean, Trinity Witt and wife, Whitney, Christen Witt and husband, Wayne; great grandchildren, Caleb Kotrla and wife, Kaitlinn, Carleigh Kotrla, Macy Witt-Nobles, Taylor Witt, Aubery Witt, Lexi Haley; great great grandchildren, Slayde and Carson;sister-in-law,Paula Niebur of Pasadena; numerous other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 2 pm at the Camp Ground Baptist Church in Woodville with Brother Kevin McClusky and Dr. Raymond Parker.

Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Trinity Witt, Phillip Thompson, Rob Georgas, Sean Stephens, James Lafayette and David Bean.
