Charlotte R. Ernst, 91, of Laconia, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at The Willows Assisted Living near Corydon. She was born March 28, 1927, in Mauckport, Indiana, to the late Raymond and Madge Crosier Frakes. She was a retired secretary at the Lucas Sand Plant near Mauckport, was a Laconia 4-H leader, and was a member of the Mauckport United Methodist Church and the Laconia Extension Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas C. “Jr”. Ernst; her brother, John Frakes; and her sister, Helen Reas. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Hunter of Corydon; her sister, Betty O’Dea of Mauckport; and her grandsons, Craig and Eric Hunter.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery near Laconia. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Otterbein Cemetery Fund. Pallbearers will be Craig and Eric Hunter, Travis McKim, John Dowell, Greg Reas, and Gary Timberlake.
