Cheryl (Noga) Oldenburg, who loved collecting, interior design, and gourmet cooking, died peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 11. She was 74.

Cheryl was born on Jan. 14, 1944, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She moved to her beloved Maine in 1998, after raising her family in western Massachusetts.

She worked as a real estate agent before enjoying her retirement years in Westbrook, Maine. Cheryl is survived by her son Henry Carey of Houston, Texas, daughter Samantha Carey of Fall River, Mass. , sister and brother-in-law, Sheilah and Greg Sandler, of Northampton, Mass.

, and her best friend, Kevin Grimshaw of Phoenix, Ariz. A private ceremony will be held in the summertime, and her ashes will be spread on the seashore at Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Memorial contributions can be made to the organization of your choosing.
