Cheryl J. Scott was born September 29, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Charles Thomas and Lillian Kennedy-Collins. Cheryl at the age of 67, departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at DuPont Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis and attended IUPUI.

She relocated to Fort Wayne in 1975 and worked for Indiana-Michigan Power, later retiring from the USPS. She was a member of King’s Chapel Assembly church for many years. She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Scott; three sons, Danny Thomas, Michael Ray (Stacy) Scott, Sr. and Jason R. Scott; five grandsons; a brother, Steven Thomas of Indianapolis; a sister, Charlene Thomas of Indianapolis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, in-laws, extended family, and friends.
