Mrs. Geans was a housewife and is preceded in death her husband, Larry Joe Geans and father, Guy Lawrence Talbott.

She is survived by her mother, Christeen Gautney Hooper of Muscle Shoals; son, Larry Talbott (Darlene) of Hartselle; daughters, Tina Watson (Tommy) of Tuscumbia, and Samantha Hardin of Tuscumbia; sister, Evelyn Carlisle of Illinois, and Carolyn Napier of Phil Campbell; grandchildren, Zachary Kimbrough, Isaiah Watson, and Kailyn Watson.
