Mr. Chris Lynn Hobbs, age 58 of the Beaverdam Community in Chadbourn, peacefully slipped into eternity on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. Born on the thirty-first day of August in 1960, he was the son of the late Thomas Sherwood Hobbs and Helen Louise Clewis Hobbs-Turbeville. Along with parents, Chris was preceded din death by a daughter, Jennifer Hobbs.

Funeral services commemorating Chris’ life, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Rev. Marcus Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mercer Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00, prior to the service on Monday. Chris leaves behind a daughter, Julia E. Hobbs of Whiteville; a son, Kenneth Shane Hobbs of Asheville; siblings, Gail H. Kennedy (Tommy) of Chadbourn, Tommy Hobbs (Marcia) of Chadbourn, Mickey Hobbs (Peggy) of Chadbourn and Lora Hobbs of Chadbourn.
