Obituary for Christel H. Wyld (Buchholz) Christel H. Buchholz Wyld, 78, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown. Born in Benefeld, Germany on August 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Hellmut and Meta Sack Buchholz. Christel retired after 30 years as a pharmaceutical technician from the former Rhoads Pharmacy, Hummelstown.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown and was active in its prayer shawl knitting group. She enjoyed knitting, her church and working in her flower gardens. Christel will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Stephen M. Wyld husband of Danielle C. of Hummelstown; three grandchildren, Megan J. Lyda wife of Michael of Raleigh, NC, Kelsey H. Wyld of Seattle, WA, and Derek R. Wyld of Hummelstown; two great granddaughters, Kennedy and MacKenzie Lyda of Raleigh; and one sister, Ellen Buchholz of Lafayette, LA. In addition to her parents, Christel was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Wyld on October 8, 2015, and a son, Gregory W. Wyld, on September 2, 2002. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 11 AM in the Grace United Methodist Church, 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown, with her pastor, The Rev.

John A. Schaefer and her nephew, The Rev. Curtis R. Weber, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the service. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
