Christene’s Obituary Christene Davis Green, age 91, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2019, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, with burial following at Restland Cemetery. Christene was born on November 6, 1927 to Carl Davis and Hettie Weaver Davis in Pancake, TX.

She graduated from Turnersville High School in 1944. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1948 from Texas Wesleyan and her Master’s Degree from North Texas in 1969. She retired as a teacher/librarian after 40 years of service.

While at Texas Wesleyan, she was elected President of her college sorority, one of many honors while at Texas Wesleyan. Christene’s greatest joy was fishing and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Hettie Davis.

Christene is survived by her daughter Carla Green Reyna and husband Ed of Dallas; granddaughters, Courtney Faris and husband Scott, Sara Fox and husband Chad; grandson, Blake Reyna; great-grandchildren, Graham and Cullen Faris, and Samantha and Reed Fox. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, www. abcf.org/donate.
