Christine’s Obituary Christine Rodriguez was born August 31, 1931 to Granville Paul and Lottie Elva Wells near Henryetta, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 8, 2019 at her Depew home surrounded by her husband and three children. She graduated from Graham High School in 1949.

On November 10, 1966, Alex Rodriguez and Christine Wells were united in marriage in San Francisco, California. While living in California, Chris owned her own bookkeeping service. After moving to Oklahoma, she worked as a reporter for the Bristow News Record.

As well, she was a member of the Lions Club and an active member at St. Joseph Catholic Church, keeping the books for many years. Chris was a very talented woman. She was an accomplished writer; having many of her writings published.

As well, she enjoyed painting, sketching and making sculptures. She also had a hobby raising chickens and was lovingly known as the “grandma with chickens” by the grandchildren. Chris was a family-oriented person and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alex Rodriguez of the Depew home; one daughter, Georgiana Domingo of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sons, Tony Rodriguez of Tulsa and Marcus Rodriguez of Sapulpa; two sisters, Geraldine Lenoir and Shirley Mae Contreras; one brother, Paul Wells; eight grandchildren, Neil Dieterle, Christine Asbell, Joel Rodriguez, Laura Short, David Domingo, Sarah Rodriguez, Kerri Domingo and Christopher Rodriguez; ten great grandchildren, Mackenzie Cook, Michael Trail, Kit Rodriguez, Leighton Saville, Cooper Dieterle, Reese Dieterle, Liam Saville, Matthew Trail, Avery Saville and Kason Rodriguez; she was admired greatly by a niece, Jennifer Hayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Christopher Freeman, one daughter, Deborah Freeman, one sister, Margaret Ruth Morgan, one grandson, Max Rodriguez and one great grandson, Cory Rodriguez-Saville. Services are pending at this time.
