Christopher Dean Mapes, age 56, died of a massive heart attack on March 11, 2018, At Mercy San Juan Hospital at 5:45am. Christopher is survived by his wife, MaryAnne Mapes of Elverta, CA; sister and brother, Robert and Linda Williams of Weimar, CA; and his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Sabrina Mapes of Panama City Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his mom, Carol Lee Lantzy, of Baldwin Park, CA; his grandma, Eunice Blair , of Covina CA.

Christopher was born on November 7, 1961 in West Covina, CA to parents Dean Mapes and Carol Lee Lantzy. He married MaryAnne in Covina, CA. He was great family man and a loving father.

Christopher was a social, active man and as an Electrician, was deeply involved in International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 340 for the majority of his life. He enjoyed camping, boating and traveling. His family and friends will always remember him as being outgoing and full of life.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 7924 Bellingrath Drive, Elverta, CA 95626.
