Christopher was born on March 9, 1986 in North Platte to Gilbert and Kathy J. (Thompson) Hernandez. He graduated from North Platte High School in 2004.

Christopher worked at several places in North Platte including Taco John’s, Jimmy John’s, and Dave’s Place. Christopher was very musical and artistic. He loved his family and his friends.

He was a big movie buff, especially enjoying the Star Wars movies. He also loved family celebrations and was very loving to all. Survivors include his father, Gilbert of Hershey; siblings, Jennifer (Greg) Otzel of Hershey, Greg Hernandez of Lincoln, and Dana Hernandez of Amarillo, TX; nieces and nephews, Tori, Tessa, Tyra, Trevor, Jacob, and Aaron; aunts and uncles, Lori (Tom) Jensen of Grand Island, Belle Soto of North Platte, LeRoy (Carol) Hernandez of Hershey, Debbie Hernandez of Omaha, and Mike (Cindy) Hernandez of Hastings; numerous other family members; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy; uncles, Rudy Hernandez, and Tony Hernandez; aunts, Virginia Reyes, and Anita Cook; grandparents, Carl and Anna Thompson, and Ned and Adela Hernandez; and cousins, Sarah Nida Hernandez, Rudy Ray, and Jason Cook. Memorials are suggested to Food for the poor and online condolences may be shared at www. adamsswanson.com.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens at a later date. Christian Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
