Cindy Finch Thornton, 57, of Spartanburg, SC went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 11, 2019. Born September 27, 1961 in Landrum, SC, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Paul and Elizabeth Ann Laughter Finch. Cindy was a former secretary for Flowers Bakery for 25 years and then a legal transcriptionist for an attorney in Spartanburg.

She was a member of Carolina Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Billy Thornton; two daughters, Ashley Thornton (Scott Alexander) of Spartanburg, SC, and Brittany Rodriguez (Ramon) of Boiling Springs, SC; six grandchildren, Makayla, PJ, Paedon, Delilah, Nathan, and KaMari; two brothers, Mike Finch (Cheryl) of Texas and Scott Finch (Tammy) of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:45 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Carolina Baptist Church, 256 Floyd Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Thomas Thornton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
