Clara’s Obituary Elton-Funeral Services for Clara Ann Wilson, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate.

Burial will follow in St. Matilda Cemetery in Eunice under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5-10 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton. Visitation will resume at St. Paul Catholic Church on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Clara was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a devoted wife to her husband, John Charles Wilson, until his passing in February of 1981. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elton and a woman of strong faith whom was very proud of her Catholic heritage.

She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her family says, she baked the best “everything”. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Clara always had a smile on her face anytime you saw her. She loved traveling, planting flowers and gardening. She retired from Jefferson Davis School Board as a cafeteria worker.

Clara will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish Clara’s memory include her father, Wallace Johness; son, Donovon Wilson and wife, Sonya, of Elton; one daughter, Chenita Kirklin and husband, James, of Oberlin; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five Godchildren; three brother and sister-in-law’s; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Clara is preceded in death by her mother, Hildred Bushnell Johness and one brother, Walter Johness.
