Obituary for Clara McConnell Dodd CLARA MCCONNELL DODD, age 85 of the Hollywood Community, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 03, 2018. Born in Hiawassee, Georgia on November 17, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mae Burch McConnell. Mrs. Dodd was a textile worker with Lakemont Manufacturing for a number of years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Major Dodd; brother, Horace McConnell. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Wallace & Delorace Dodd of Clarkesville; daughter, Anita Bookmiller of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Tori Potts & Zach Potts, Brittany Bookmiller, Jeff Arrowood and Tracey Arrowood; 13 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; sister, Nellie M. Sutton of Homer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Larry Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
