Obituary for Elois Florence Franklin Tench Elois Florence Franklin Tench, age 93 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Born in Decatur, Georgia on March 8, 1925 to the late Elmer and Florence Benfield Franklin.

Mrs. Tench was a retired librarian with Cornelia Library for many years. She enjoyed history of Habersham County, reading, sewing, painting and drawing. Mrs. Tench was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church where she was a former librarian and Sunday school teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tench; brothers, Elmer Franklin, Jr., Gary Franklin, Ralph Franklin, Arthur Franklin; sister, Marion Franklin. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel & Jim Robertson of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry & Debbie Tench of Greenville, Tennessee, Dr. Stephen Tench & Roxy Baumgartner of Nashville, Tennessee and Alan & Liz Tench of Raleigh, North Carolina; 1 grandchild; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Franklin of Rome. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Hazel Creek Baptist Church with Rev.

Billy Burrell and Rev. Trent Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
