Born in Habersham County on July 14, 1947, she was a daughter of Norris Hinton of Cornelia and the late Vinnie Sue Palmer Hinton. Mrs. Dalton was retired from various management positions and enjoyed reading and art.

In addition to her father, surviving are children, Norris Dalton of Washington State, Christina Moreno of North Carolina, and Gregory Dalton of Auburn, GA; sisters, Carol Gastley, Ann Shirley, Elizabeth Huffman all of Cornelia; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
