Clarence McCoy’s Obituary CHILHOWIE, VA Clarence McCoy Thompson, Sr. age 74 passed away on Thursday May 2, 2019 at his home in Chilhowie, VA. Mr. Thompson was born in McComas, WV on April 24, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents John & Mary Pauley Thompson; brothers Charles Thompson, Preston Thompson, Ray Thompson, & Johnny Dale Thompson; and sister Frances Clarke.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances Thompson of Chilhowie; his children Buddy Thompson & wife Robin of Richmond, Mary Shazier & husband Fred of Chilhowie, Lee Thompson of Chilhowie, and David Thompson & wife Bridget of Roanoke; brothers Paul Thompson of Saltville, Jerry Thompson & wife Becky of Saltville, and Archie Thompson of Saltville; sisters Beulah Coe & husband Everett of Konnarock, Opal Spears & husband Emmitt of Kingsport, Connie Kerley & husband Steve of Chilhowie, and Eva Davenport & husband Whrenza of Saltville; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday May 4, 2019 from the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie. Interment will follow in the Westwood Memorial Gardens in Chilhowie.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www. bradleysfh.com.
