OBITUARY Mr. Clarence Mendel January 19, 1925 – January 23, 2019 Clarence Edward Mendel, Sr., born January 19, 1925 in Houston, TX passed away January 23, 2019 in Conroe, TX. Mr. Mendel is preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Frances Mendel, his wife of 59 years, Kathryn Mendel, son, Clarence Edward Mendel, Jr., brothers, Ernest and Calvin Mendel; son-in-law, Jay Garrison, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Mendel; sisters-in-law, Della Mendel and Ethel Mendel. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Dallie Mendel; and his children, Jo Ann and Neil Herst, Fran and Max Vater, and Karen and Robert Carney, brother, Gene Mendel and wife, Joyce, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, as well as a large extended family.

He is also survived by Dallie’s children Ronnie and Jan Bedford, Janice and Raymond Pope, Randy and Cathy Bedford, and Jody and Tim Anderson, and their extended families. Clarence loved his family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.

A funeral mass will be at 10:00am, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Rd. , Spring, Texas 77389. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
