Clarice Laveta Biggs, 90, of Paragould, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at Greene Acres Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1928, in Marmaduke, to Verni and Dovie Mae Cupples. Laveta was a member at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where she enjoyed praising the Lord and playing piano for the congregation.

She also attended East Side Baptist Church. She worked at Arnold’s Jewelry for many years. Laveta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Richard Biggs; and sons, Michael and Richard Biggs.

Survivors include Laveta’s grandson, Kelly Biggs and his wife, Becky, and great granddaughter, Kaylie Biggs. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Phillips Funeral Home. At noon a procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home going to Greene County Memorial Gardens for a graveside service.
