Clarissa C Richey, November 21, 1960 — February 22, 2019

Clarissa Crissy Richey was born on November 21, 1960 to Ossie Mae and the Late George Leroy Gray in Bristol, Pennsylvania. On February 22, 2019, she departed this life at the age of 58. Clarissa was affectionately known as Crissy by her family and friends, as Babe by her husband, and Ma by her children.

Crissy was full of life, laughter, love, and attachment to her “Bow Wow son, Shadow”. Her mother taught Crissy and her siblings how to love, serve and honor the LORD growing up. Crissy accepted the LORD at an early age and rededicated her life back to Jesus Christ when she moved to Virginia from California some years ago.

Crissy transitioned to California as an adult and took up many trades that included attending Sweetwater Nursing School in Chula Vista and Welding at Nassco. While she resided in Florida, she worked as a painter in the shipyard and a Team Leader at PBM Plastic after she moved to Virginia. Clarissa professed her love to Claude Earl Richey on three separate occasions through the matrimony of marriage.

During 2005-2010, Crissy resided in North Carolina with her “Hubby Love” and worked as a Sales Manager at the Room Store. She graduated with her Associates degree from Fayetteville State University as a Pharmacy Technician and majored in Social Work. One of Crissy’s most notable accomplishments included the work she did as a liaison as an Army wife advocating for women with breast cancer for the 82nd Airborne Division located in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Clarissa was preceded in death by her late father George Leroy Gray and his brothers George Palmer Gray and Glenn Roy Gray. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Claude, children Marvell, Marvin, Juanna, Atalya, Claudia, and Anthony; grandchildren, Na’Ryayah, Na’Braeyah, Na’Taliyah, Na’Careyah; her mother Ossie, siblings Eddie, Debbie, Larry, Elvi (Asa), Gary, Gregory (Resheda); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues, and family members.
