Claud’s Obituary Graveside services for Claud Edward Wiginton, 94, of Decatur, TX, who died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Wise Regional Hospital in Decatur, will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, TX, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 10, 2019. There will be a reception from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. preceding the services at the Denton Room, located in the Embassy Suites in Denton, TX. DeBerry Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

He was born June 14, 1924 in Soper, Oklahoma. Claud married Ruby Dell Davenport January 15, 1949. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather!

Claud worked for Amoco Oil, which later changed to British Petroleum for 30 years. He retired in 1984. At his retirement party, they spoke of him, as being someone, who was always willing to help and that was his gift.

He was 94 and still helping other residents at the Decatur Medical Lodge Retirement Home. He is loved by many and will be missed! He was preceded by death, by his son, Larry Edward Wiginton on November 3, 1974 and his younger son, David Keith Wiginton on July 11, 1999.

Also preceding his death is his brother, Wilbert Lee Wiginton, niece, Carol Elaine Whicker, half-brother, Floyd Wiginton, half-sister, Esther Pierce, half-sister, Verlie Morris, half-sister, Elsie Adkins, and half-sister, Lena Nielson. Claud leaves his wife, Ruby Dell Wiginton of 70 years and his daughter, Patricia Ann Hammer of Decatur, TX. , his granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Crittenden of Cedar Park, TX and two great grandchildren, Ashton Brook Hilsenteger and Alexa Briana Hilsenteger of Cedar Park, TX.

Survivors also include his nephew, John Wiginton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jean Taylor of Amarillo, TX and Dolores Bertrand of Winnie, TX.
