Clifton’s Obituary Clifton Davis, Jr., 74, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville. He was a former resident of Union City. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.

Wesley Jackson and Stephen Sutton will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Mr. Davis was born January 18, 1945, in Troy, son of the late Clifton Davis, Sr. and the late Cordelia Laverne (Morphis) Davis. He married Patricia (Luther) Davis May 9, 1970. She preceded him in death October 23, 2016.

Clifton retired from AT & T after 35 years of service and was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ. He served in the United States Navy and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He is survived by two daughters, Dana Wright (Jody) of Hendersonville and Carolyn Carter (Timmy) of Union City; five grandchildren, Zachary Wright of Nashville, Destiny Sharp and Brianna Garner both of Union City, Alexia Neyhart of Maryland and Isabella Wright of Hendersonville; three great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Reed of Union City; and two brothers, William Fred Davis of Columbus, Ohio and James Davis of Orlando, Florida.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Dale Davis.
