Clinton’s Obituary Our beloved Clinton Lamont Tart was born on June 26, 1972 to Cynthia L. Tart and Theodore S. Furches, Sr. in Winston-Salem, NC. He transitioned to his heavenly home to live with our Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2019. “Mont” as he was affectionally known, attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.

He joined the Job Corp and received a Certificate in Welding. Among his other achievements, he went to truck driving school and received his CDL. Mont was the first African-American BMWX Bicyclist Racer in Lewisville, NC.

He won several trophies as well as the championship in the races. Also, he worked with the Prison Ministry and received a Certificate in Ministry. Mont will be forever missed and remembered for his jovial spirit and laughter.

He loved his family dearly. He was compassionate and showed empathy toward others. He is survived by one daughter, Monteria Horne of Winston-Salem, NC; two granddaughter(s): Za’Reniti Simmons and Wynter Simmons of Winston-Salem, NC; and two grandson(s): Dedric Horne and Braelin Horne of Winston-Salem, NC; his mother, Cynthia L. Tart of Winston-Salem, NC; his father, Theodore S. Furches, Sr. of Lewisville, NC; five sisters: Catrina (Stonewall) Smith, Junetta Tart Holman, Marvella Tart, Tamika Tart of Winston-Salem, NC, and Chanel Furches of Lewisville, NC; two brothers: Marvin Tart of Winston-Salem, NC and Theodore Furches, Jr. of Lewisville, NC; eight aunts: Debra J. Tart, Phiphine (William) Moore, and Jacquelyn (James) McMillan of Winston-Salem, NC, Thelma F. Robinson of Petersburg, VA, Rasheedah (Jamal) Nasir of Decatur, GA, Vivian F. Street of Greensboro, NC, Marcella F. Roberts of Shaker Heights, OH, and Valerie (Richard) Morning of Clemmons, NC; two uncles: Joseph (Arlene) Tart, Jr. and James Carnel Furches of Winston-Salem, NC; one great aunt, Mattie D. Glenn of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Redeemed Missionary Baptist Church 1170 W. Clemmonsville Rd. , Winston Salem, NC 27127 with funeral services following at 1 pm. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
