Clyde Glenn Samford December 05, 1934 – February 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Clyde Glenn Samford, 84, of Center, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at his residence, in the very same spot where he was born. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev.

Carl Smith and Rev. Russ Atwood officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Mr. Samford was born December 5, 1934, in Center, to Fate Samford and Lula Mae Bush Samford. He retired from pipefitting and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Sampson Masonic Lodge #231 in Highlands.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edwina Gann Samford of Center; children, Randall Samford of Center, Jeff Samford of Center, Sherry Oliver and husband, Ben, of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Heaberlyn Campbell and Kendrick Arnold of Galveston, Trevor Campbell of Nacogdoches; great grandchildren, Kendrick Jr. and Haylee Arnold; niece and nephews, Ashley, Scott, and Mason; brother-in-law, Brigadier General Benard Gann and wife, Genelle, of Tyler; numerous cousins and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fate Samford and Lula Mae Bush Samford. Pallbearers will be Joe White, Steve Jeans, Mike White, Mason Gann, Scott Gann, and Mike Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Hopkins, Wayne Bittick, Neal Stevenson, and members of Ford Brown Sunday School Class.
