Obituary for Coby Edward Cassidy Coby Edward Cassidy, 29, of Brightwood passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 after an almost 3 year battle with Grade 4 Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma). He was born June 16, 1988 in Culpeper to Steven Cassidy and the late JoAnn Cassidy. Coby graduated in 2010 from AIM (Aviation Institute of Maintenance trade school).

He enjoyed hanging out with friends and working on his car. He is survived by his wife, Heather Cassidy of Brightwood; his father, Steven Cassidy; brother, Douglas; sister, Michelle and her husband, Jimmy of Richmond; grandfather, Joe Stephens of Culpeper; grandparents, Edgar and Thelma Cassidy of Brightwood; aunts, Gloria Haynes and her husband, Tom of Martinsville, and Vicky Topping and her husband, Craig of FL; lifelong best friend, Michael Coates and his wife, Kaylor; his god children, Abel and Robbie; and numerous other friends and family members. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Catherine Ford Stephens.
