Colleen Kearns Harte, 43, of Dalton, passed away on February 26, 2019 and joined her family in Heaven. After years of failing health, God Mercifully called her home. Colleen was born in Pittsfield on December 2, 1975, the daughter of David and Carol Izzo Kearns.
She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1993. While at PHS, she was a cheerleader, gymnast and Prom Queen. She later graduated from Westfield State University with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Colleen worked many jobs over the years, lastly before her health declined, at Soldier On, where she loved helping the veterans who served our country. She loved spending time on Cape Cod at her family’s home in Hyannis with her kids, which she frequently visited. She also loved visiting her grandparents, Joe and Anne Izzo, in Florida.
Coll loved to attend her kids’ games and activities to root them on. She loved family gatherings and parties. Her greatest joy was being with her kids.
She only wanted to be a mom and raise a family. Besides her parents, she leaves her husband, David Harte, Jr., whom she married in 2001 and their three beautiful children, Jake, Kacie and Kylie whom she worshipped and adored. They were the light of her life.
She leaves her brother, Michael (Angela) who always watched over her growing up; grandmothers, Elaine Kearns and Anne Izzo; her Godmother and aunt, Patty Izzo Monti and sister in law, Angela Kearns; nephews, Conner, Keith and Joey Kearns and niece Kaylee Kearns, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Coll was predeceased by her big brother Chris Kearns, whom she adored as he did her. Also, grampas’, Wally Kearns and Joe Izzo.
Coll was a beautiful and loving daughter, wife, mom and sister. She will be remembered for her kindness and sweet personality. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel.
