Connie’s Obituary Constance “Connie” J. Lowe, age 86, of Washburn, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. She was born September 21, 1932 in Ashland, the daughter of W. Bernard and Anna (Gregoire) O’Sullivan. Connie attended St. Louis Catholic School in Washburn and graduated from DePadua High School in Ashland.

She married George Lowe on June 19, 1954 in Washburn. The couple resided in Washburn where they raised their four children. Connie worked as a stenographer for attorneys Liz Hawkes, Bob Norlin and Tom Casper all of Washburn.

She later worked for the Bayfield Co. Register of Deeds until her retirement in 1998. Connie was a devoted Christian who was an active member of the St. Louis Catholic Church. She volunteered at Northern Lights Health Care sewing clothes and making quilts for the residents.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, making strawberry jam and all kinds of crafts. She loved visiting her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who meant the world to her. Connie will be remembered for her caring, kind, compassionate and loving ways.

Connie is survived by her children, Michael (Cathy) Lowe, David (Sandy) Lowe, Rita (Duane) Konieczny and Mary (Dwight) Schooley; 6 grandchildren, David (Biannca) Sweet, Sarah Lowe, Carlyn Lowe, Casey Lowe, Tiffanie (Jonathan) Wright and Cody Konieczny; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan, Steven and Camden; sisters, Sr Patricia O’Sullivan and Margaret “Marge” Gee; brothers, Bill “Bub” (Karen) O’Sullivan and John (Chris) O’Sullivan; and nieces, nephews and extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George in 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Washburn with Fr.

Dean Buttrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Washburn. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Bratley Funeral Home in Washburn and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Arrangements are by Bratley Funeral Home of Washburn.
