Obituary for Connie L. Campbell (Moore) Connie L. (Moore) Campbell of Paradise, departed from our lives prematurely on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 as a result of a vehicle accident in Lancaster County. The daughter of the late Harry E. Moore, Sr. and Charlotte L. (Peck) Moore, she was born on March 1, 1958. Her husband Joseph P Campbell died earlier this year.
She is survived by her two adoring sons: Matthew P. Campbell (married to Eileen Darby) of Paradise; and Michael C. Campbell (married to Laura Babetski) of Abilene, TX; brother Harry E. Moore, Jr of Gap; and grandson Jackson Charles of Abilene, TX. Connie’s second grandson, Blake Michael Campbell, also of Abilene, was born just 2 days after her death. Connie embodied the essence of what a mother, daughter, sister, and friend should be.
Her beloved sons were the center of her universe, and she treasured every moment that she shared with them, as they’ve grown from her “M&M Boys” into exceptional young men who have now started families of their own. She couldn’t have been more proud of them both, and cherished her new role as Nana to her precious grandson Jackson. She was a loving caretaker to her late mother, a protective big sister, and a devoted friend to many.
Connie was employed for many years by E. G. Stoltzfus Homes of Lancaster County, and more recently by American Music Theater as well. Her interests and hobbies were too numerous to list, but being a Phillies fan was her passion. From attending Spring Trainings in Florida, to being at the front of the line at local autograph signings, she was most fond of her favorite “oldies” including Darren Daulton and Steve Carlton.
As such, those attending the service are invited to wear their Phillies gear. Connie was a member of P.J Bair II VFW Post 7418 Ladies Auxillary in Gap, and Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Gap. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed making table favors and flower arrangements.
She loved the beach at Ocean City, NJ; Knoebels, and watching classic movies and TV shows such as Gone With The Wind, I Love Lucy, and Dallas. Her caring nature and boundless energy will leave a lasting legacy for her family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 810 Newport Avenue, Gap, PA.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to the P.J Bair II VFW Post 7418 Ladies Auxiliary, 498 Lincoln Highway, Gap, PA 17527.
