OBITUARY Connie Sue Bowers January 30, 1950 – September 8, 2018 Mrs. Connie Sue Bowers was born January 30, 1950 in Champaign, Illinois, to Jim and Nora Grindley. Her travels took her took her across the country before she settled back in Champaign for many years. This is where she met and married George Bowers.

Connie moved to Colorado Springs in 2008 to be closer to her family. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Connie was called home Saturday, September 8, 2018 at The Center of Cordera.

Preceding her in passing; her parents Jim and Nora, 1 Brother Steve Grindley and Husband George Bowers. She leaves to mourn: Three sons; Maurice Troy Douglas (Carla), Antoine W. Douglas (Hercila), Rodriquez F. Pettus (Desiree);11 grandchildren; Destiny, Maurice, Joshua, Kalisha, Troy, Mathew, Carlanna, Rickea, Kiana, Angel, and Isaiah. 3 great-grandchildren; RJ, Laila, and TJ.

And 1 sister Yvonne Sehy. A special friend; Terrence Fitzgerald and her beloved dog, Angel. Also; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO. 80910 and laid to rest with her husband at a later date. FAMILY Maurice Troy (Carla) Douglas, Son Antoine W. (Hercila) Douglas, Son Rodriguez F. (Desiree) Pettus, Son George Bowers, Husband Yvonne Sehy, Sister Connie is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Destiny, Maurice, Joshua, Kalisha, Troy, Mathew, Carlanna, Rickea, Kiana, Angel, and Isaiah.

3 great-grandchildren; RJ, Laila, and TJ. A special friend; Terrence Fitzgerald and her beloved dog, Angel. Also; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers.
