OBITUARY Connie Vess Snipes August 21, 1932 – October 4, 2018 Connie Vess Snipes, 86, passed peacefully on October 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billie E Snipes. Connie was born on August 21, 1932 to Zolen and Cabra Vess.

Her career with Southern Bell lasted 30+ years and contributed to a very full life. Preceding her in death are 3 brothers, Stan Vess, Louis Vess and Frank Vess and 1 stepdaughter, Diane Luper. Connie is survived by 2 daughters, Elaine Snipes and Tamara Reber (Rob); 2 grandsons, Tanner Hodges and Max Reber; 2 sisters, Gwen McMillan and Peggy Gregory; 1 special sister-in-law Antoinette (Toni) Vess; 3 nieces, Dawn Turner, Sandy Wainscott, and Brenda Hudson; 4 nephews, Dave Vess, Stan Gregory, Darian Gregory, and Barry Morgan and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church, 6824 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC on Sunday October 7, 2018 at 2 PM with visitation to follow. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens (Matthews) on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11 AM.
