Obituary for Constance K. Watts San Antonio – Constance Kane Watts, 88, of San Antonio passed away at Kindred Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2018. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 8 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge San Antonio, TX. A rosary will be following visitation.
Funeral services will be on Monday, July 9 in San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston, Pavilion 3 at 9:30 am. Connie, Bonnie, Mother, Grandma or Memom as she was known by is survived by her daughters, Pam Fleenor of Dallas, Patty Flores and husband Caesar of San Antonio and Karen Berry-Rowell and husband Randy of Clyde; sister, Kathleen Persinger of New Hampshire; sister-in-law Nancy Kane of California; four grandchildren, Chris Flores and wife Brooke, Brett and Brandon Berry and a great-grandchild, Parker Flores; several nephews, a niece, a great niece and great nephew. Connie was born September 29, 1929 in Brewer, Maine to Francis W. Kane and Mary K. Corbett.
She attended school in Bangor, Maine graduating from John Baptist High in 1947. She married Donald G. Watts on February 19, 1966 in San Antonio, TX, then moved to Abilene, TX where they resided for 18 years before returning to San Antonio in 1985. Connie worked as a Bookkeeper at D&W Furniture, while in Abilene.
In San Antonio, Connie was a bookkeeper at Killian House Construction, she volunteered at elementary schools, in the late 80’s, then in sales at Dillard’s, testing coordinator at Promissor for insurance candidates and finally as a Receptionist for The Inn at Los Patios in San Antonio. She most recently volunteered at Pet Smart, once a week, she loved her animals. Connie enjoyed reading, watching movies, visiting/helping others and watching her grandchildren grow up.
She has kept up with her dear best friends Kay and Betty, who she graduated with in Maine, even attended high school reunions in the last few years. Mother was a very independent, strong woman who persevered through it all. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald G. Watts; her parents; uncle Francis C. Corbett, brother William Kane and sister Patricia McDonald; niece, Gail Persinger and nephew, Mark Kane.
