Obituary for Mr. Cooper Ray Bass Mr. Cooper Ray Bass, age 87, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Mattie Marshall Memory Care Center. A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 18th at Williams Road Church of Christ. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Friends may visit the family at other times at the residence of James Earl Bass located at 1065 Armena Road in Leesburg, GA. Mr. Bass was born February 18, 1931 in Leslie, GA. He was the son of the late Earl Gander Bass and the late Nannie Ruth Buchanan Bass.

He owned and operated Bass Service Station from 1957 until 1993. Mr. Bass was a family man and a devoted husband for 63 years. He was an avid hunter.

He loved his church and the Lord. Mr. Bass enjoyed a good joke and he never met a stranger. He was a Master Mason and Shriner.

Mr. Bass was a Navy Korean War Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Eva Jeanette Bass of Leesburg; two daughters and two sons in law, Sharon Faye Walton (David) of Leesburg and Nancy Leigh Parnell (Monty) of Perry; three sons and daughters-in-law, Clark Bass (Teresa) of Leslie, James Earl Bass (Pam) of Leesburg, and Heath Bass (Lee) of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; nine grandchildren, Clark L. Bass (Jana) Jacob Parnell (Amanda), Jared Parnell (Tiana), Eva Marie Bass, Caleb Bass (Savana), Eva Catherine Parnell, Cooper Bass, Luke Bass, and Hayden Read Bass. Other survivors include two great grandchildren, Blake Bass and Clay Bass.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by a son, Cooper Ray Bass, Jr; a sister, Linda Ruth Sellers; and three brothers, Neon Bass, R.L. (Bud) Bass, and Cliff Bass.
