Obituary for Cynthia “Cindy” Hendricks Cindy Hendricks of Keller, a devoted wife and mother, passed away Nov. 28 at the age of 57. Born Sept.

25, 1961, in Nuremberg, Germany, to Fred and Georgia Cheatham, Cynthia “Cindy” Camille Cheatham grew up “an Army brat” on Army bases in Europe and the United States. At Fort Knox High School in Fort Knox, Ky. , she was a member of the tennis and drill teams.

After graduating in 1980, Cindy moved with her parents to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Cindy worked as an administrative assistant and in property management. She met Steve Hendricks on a blind date in 1993 and the two married March 12, 1994.

A Type 1 diabetic, Cindy was told she might never get pregnant but was blessed to become mom to Sarah in June 1997. Cindy loved spending time with family, caring for animals, playing tennis and going to the beach. She enjoyed being a “band mom” when Sarah was in the color guard of the Keller Indian Band.

She also liked to read and cook. Cindy was a member of the Hills Church in North Richland Hills. The family would like to thank the ICU and PCU medical staff at Texas Health HEB Hospital in Hurst for their compassionate care.

Cindy is survived by husband Steve Hendricks and daughter Sarah Hendricks, both of Keller; parents Fred and Georgia Cheatham of Fort Worth; and an uncle, Bill Burke of Keller. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Hills Church in the chapel: 6300 N.E. Loop 820, North Richland Hills.
