Glennville Cindy Thompson Uresti, age 59 passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Glenvue Health and Rehabilitation. She was born May 4, 1959 to Rinaldo and Nancy Knight Thompson and had lived in Glennville all of her life. Ms. Cindy was an LPN working many years at Glenvue Nursing Home and in home healthcare.

She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and in her spare time, she loved to write, draw and color. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Francisco “Ponch” Uresti. She is survived by her mother, Nancy (Vernon) Griffin of Glennville; children, Hope (Dan) Milligan of Uvalda and Dustin Uresti of Austin, TX; sisters, Shirley (Bart) Clements and Joy (Ricky) Wilson all of Glennville; grandchildren, Addison, Bryson and Shaina; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Friday from the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Posey officiating. Interment will follow in the Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clint Durrence, Jonah Durrence, Aric Clements, Randy Clements, Ashley Durrence, and Louis Knight Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 Glennville Funeral Home is serving the family of Cindy Thompson Uresti.
