D. Carole (Weiers) Wilkinson, 85, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018. She was born Oct.

10, 1933, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Carl B. Weiers and Helen (Thomas) Weiers. She graduated Greensburg High School in 1951 and graduated from Indiana State Teachers College in 1955. Carole taught for many years in Hempfield and Greensburg school districts and Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.

She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Carole enjoyed her volunteer work at the cathedral, Mom’s House, Food Bank, Westmoreland Manor, and Greensburg Lions Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Wilkinson.

She is survived by two daughters, Kitty (Catherine) Farris, of Greensburg, and Lauri Albert, of West Hills, Calif. ; sons-in-law, Stefano Farris and Keith Albert; three grandchildren, Stephen (Krissy) Demko, Sara Demko, and Carly Albert; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Thomas Demko; sister, Suzie McKay and her husband, Bruce McKay; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg.

Prayers of transfer will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed at 9:30 a.m. by Carole’s funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. For online condolences and information, please visit www.
