Obituary for Dale D. Kleinhans Dale D. Kleinhans age 82 died November 10, 2018. He was born February 28, 1936 in Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado, first child of Russell Asa Kleinhans of Flagler, Colorado and Geneva Aileen Cathcart of Guyman Oklahoma. In 1940 age of 4 the family moved from Colorado to Torrance, Los Angeles County, California.

He received his high school diploma In 1953 upon enlisting with the US Marine Corp and stationed at US Marine Air Station, Cherry Point, Havelock, North Carolina. He began his carrier as an engine mechanic working for Shell Oil service station of Torrance, CA and his hobby building engines for dragsters raced at the Lion’s Drag Strip in Wilmington, CA. We was employed as a Hydraulics Specialist, Mechanic and Equipment Operator for Bryon Jackson Oil Well Company Field operations of Texas, in Long Beach, CA for 16 years.

From there he began his career as an Electrical Generator Technician for the Onan distributor, Equipment Service Company of Long Beach. From 1972-1975 he was a partner with Frank Hyatt’s Generators Unlimited of Redding, CA. , The family settled in El Dorado Hills, October of 1978 where he was employed with Cummins, Inc., of Sacramento for the next 24 years as a Field Service Technician.

April of 2002, he opened his own business, Foothill Generator Service Co., Inc. with his son Mark Kleinhans operating until Dec of 2010 servicing telecommunication’s cell tower sites electrical backup power units. His profession kept him on the road in all Counties of Northern California and Southern Oregon. Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith “Judy” Ellen Babb of Aitkin, MN.

, who were married in Torrance, CA. , March 25, 1956 and survived by his children, Steven Duane Kleinhans and wife Robyn Dawn (Rouse) Kleinhans of Colfax, CA. Mark D. Kleinhans of Rescue, CA and Daughter, Rebekah Lynn (Kleinhans) and her husband Mark David D’Agostino of Citrus Heights, CA.

3 Grandchildren, Hailey Nichole Kleinhans of Colfax. , Kole Stephan Kleinhans of Colfax. , Jessica Rachelle (D’Agostino) and husband Kenneth Prescott.

2 Great Grand Children, Ruby Lynn D’Agostino Gertz and Robert Cody D’Agostino Gertz. And adopted son Justin Tylor (Peterson) Lamb of Napa Valley, CA. , He is proceeded in death by his son Craig Scott Kleinhans and Granddaughter Rachel Lynn D’Agostino Gertz.

He is also survived by his brothers, Clifford Asa and wife Dianne Kleinhans and brother Gary Lee Kleinhans and his wife Shirley Austin, All of Humble, Texas and 2 sister’s Beverly Louise (Kleinhans) Hart (widowed) and Gloria Lavone (Kleinhans) Harvel, both of Inman, South Carolina.
