Dale Edward Flaherty, age 70, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019. Member of the Ohio Laborers Union Local 423. Former member of the Hamilton Township Lions Club.

He was Cub Master for the Boys Scouts Pack 526. Dale attended the Lockbourne Church of Christ in Christian Union. He coached Hamilton Township Athletic Association youth sports programs for 19 years followed by an additional 19 years of supporting Hamilton Township middle and high school athletes.

Preceded in death by his son, Dale Edward II “Little Dale”; parents, Oakie and Eileen Flaherty; sister, Virginia Flaherty; grandparents, Jason and Clarissa Flaherty. Survived by wife of 50 years, Shirley; children, April (Michael) Thevenin and Sherry Flaherty; 8 grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda), Timothy, Cameron, Ariel, Madison, Bailee’, Clarissa and Clayton; 2 great grandchildren, Connor and Blake; sisters, Clara (Bill) Dillon, Connie (Tom) Salyers and Pat Greenough; brothers, Michael (Rosie) Flaherty and Jimmy Flaherty; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the O. R. WOODYARD CO.

CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street. The funeral service will be Thursday 11 am at the Lockbourne Church of Christ in Christian Union 156 Mechanic St. in Lockbourne, Ohio. Reverend Ronald Reese officiating.
