Damon is survived by his parents, Amy & Mark Wrathall of Oxford, England / Mapleton, Utah, his sister Hannah of Mapleton, Utah, his sister Madeline and brother-in-law Tyler Lyman of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and his brother Nicholas, currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Hungary-Romania Budapest Mission.

He is also survived by his grandfathers John Sparks and Donald Wrathall, both of Springville, Utah. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers – Dianne Sparks and Anja Wrathall. Damon was born on July 31st, 1992 in Berkeley, California.

He attended high school in Springville Utah and Riverside California, and he took general education classes at Utah Valley University. He dreamed of a career in fashion design – a subject he studied at Chaffey College (Rancho Cucamonga, California). He also took classes at City of Oxford College (Oxford, England).

Damon loved to travel and wander. He lived in Berkeley, Mapleton, London, Riverside, Boston, Oxford, and Orange County, and visited Mexico, Finland, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany and Italy. His favorite city was Paris.

Damon was a kind and gentle soul. Like the cats he loved, he was nocturnal by nature. He was happiest when cracking and customizing his cell phones, viewing contemporary art, teasing his siblings and parents, losing himself in musical rapture, and just being there with friends and family.

He lived without compromise, preferring struggle and suffering on his own terms to easy conformism. His funeral will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 3rd, 2018, at the LDS Chapel at 1068 South 1600 West (Highway 89) in Mapleton, Utah. The funeral will be preceded by a viewing at 10 am.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Damon’s life.
