Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mr. Dan “Buddy” Crowder, 83, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home.

Bro. Fish Robinson will officiate. Interment will at the Abbeville Cemetery in Abbeville, MS.

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Crowder was born in Lauderdale, TN and spent 35 years living in Abbeville. Mr. Crowder enjoyed fishing and was very passionate about his fishing trips he would take with his wife.

Mr. Crowder was enchanted by treasure hunting and could often be found at various flea markets searching for his treasures. He also had a great admiration for coins, as he was an avid coin collector. He had a great appreciation for antiquing.

Mr. Crowder adored his late wife, Mrs. Dorothy Crowder. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. Mr. Crowder is survived by two daughters, Debra (Rodney) Evans and Karen (Ricky) Braggs both of Hernando,MS; one son, Dan D. (Deborah) Crowder, III, of Brighton, TN; four sisters, Alice Daniels, Leatha Nelson, Phyllis Mead all of Ripley, TN, and Juanita Crowder of Tucson, AZ; four brothers, Neil Crowder of Ripley, Harbert Crowder of Arlington, TN, Jimmy Crowder of Oxford, MS, and Bennie Crowder of Millington, TN.

Mr. Crowder is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mr. Crowder was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hankins Crowder; one daughter, Katherine B. Crowder; his parents, Dan D. Crowder, Sr. and Maggie B. Crowder; one sister, Sue Langley. Donations and memorials in honor of Mr. Dan “Buddy” Crowder may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.
