Dan Ivy, the owner and operator of Carolina Stables for over 35 years. Affectionately known as “The Horseman” by friends and family, passed away on January 4, 2019 after a two year struggle with cancer. A rough tough Vietnam era Marine who spoke his mind and meant what he said.

When Dan wasn’t working with horses he could be found traversing the trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He is survived by his loving fiancee, Janice Pavlikianidis of the home; a step-son, John Pavlikianidis of Fayetteville; and his mother, Sara Vigaletti. He was a dear friend to many in the Parkton/Hope Mills area and will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday January 8, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wayne Hill. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm prior to the service.
