He was born and raised in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, but always said “I came to Texas as fast as I could”.

He and JoAnn moved to Fredericksburg in 2004, and after settling in, his goal was to find the nearest and best golf course. His great passion was the game of golf. He belonged to the Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course in Fredericksburg.

Per Dan’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. His family wishes to thank the Audie Murphy VA Hospital and all it’s doctors and nurses who are so kind and compassionate to our country’s veterans.

Also, there aren’t enough words to express the thankfulness to the Ave Maria Hospice in Fredericksburg for their wonderful care and compassion during his last journey. Dan will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
