Dannie L. Cooper, 84 of Hurricane WV, passed away May 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Virginia Childers Cooper, son Paul David Cooper and his siblings. Dannie was a proud member of James Marshall American Legion Post #187, Winfield, after serving his country in the US ARMY.

He was retired from City National Bank, was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of the YMCA. Surviving him are wife of nearly 45 years, Peggy L. Cooper, daughters Myra Sue Cooper of Wilmington NC, Amy Guinn of Red House, grandchildren Chelsea Weaver of Buffalo and Jadon Guinn of Red House and 3 great grandchildren. The family encourages memorial contributions be made in his name to: First Church of God Hurricane, 3225 Putnam Ave.
