OBITUARY Danny Dale Daughrity March 14, 1956 – December 20, 2018 Danny Dale Daughrity, age 62, of North Richland Hills, Texas passed away on December 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at home. Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel from 6pm to 8pm. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00am at North Park Baptist Church on Mid Cities Blvd.

in North Richland Hills. Danny was born in Brownfield, Texas to parents, Jim and Anna Daughrity. He graduated from Bangs High School in Bangs, Texas and joined the National Guard soon there after.

He proudly served for 6 years and separated in 1981. He met and later married his beloved wife of 35 years, Betty Jean “BJ”, in 1983. He had 5 children.

He became an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad in the early 1980s and worked for them for a few years. He dedicated 22 years to working for Herzog Transit Services, and served as a General Manager of the TRE for the past 11 years. Danny was his wife’s best friend, a wonderful father, loving grandfather, beloved friend and great mentor to many.

His presence, his jokes and memorable sense of humor, and many packages the “plant fairy” sent will be dearly missed. Danny is preceded in death by father, Ambrose “Jim” Daughrity, daughter, Brandi Daughrity and father-in-law, Donald Meador. Left to cherish Danny’s memory are his wife, BJ Daughrity; children, John Daughrity, DeAnna Daughrity, Catherine Moreno, and Ami Daughrity; grandchildren, Ashton Daughrity, Brooklyn Moreno, Cross Moreno, and Dani Jane Daughrity; Mother, Anna Shackelford; sisters, Sharon Davis, and husband, Alvie; Amber Self, and husband, John; mother-in-law, Bonnie Meador; brother-in-law, Don Meador, and wife, Tamara; many nieces, nephews, his Herzog work family, and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Danny’s wishes were that memorial contributions be made to North Park Baptist Church at www. northparknow.com in memory of Danny.
