Danny Eugene Fields, 80, of Lostant, passed away at home on November 27, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Lostant United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Nowakowski, pastor officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Lostant. Danny was born March 31, 1938 in Etowah, Arkansas to Alvin and Gladys (Dunkin) Fields. He had six brothers and sisters, Pete, Ray, Betty, Nita and Frankie.

He married… Read More » the love of his life, Myrna Lois Roberson on January 1, 1960 and they moved to Lostant in 1979. Myrna passed away on March 4, 2017. He will be remembered for being a man of very few words but, when he did speak, it was usually something that made you laugh, cry or most of the time, both.

He was much like a cat with nine lives. He survived several near-death car crashes, including one that put him in a coma for three months, electrocutions and a propane explosion just to name a few. Parkinson’s disease finally caught up with him on November 27.

He and his wife together had three children, Rhonda (Don) Pinkerton of Pocatello, ID, Jeff Fields of Lostant, and Phil (Heather) Fields of Cheyenne, WY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two younger sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lostant Community Fire Department or to St. Margaret’s Hospice.
